Edgecombe residents breathed a sigh of relief after weather projections last week about more flooding in Princeville and northern Tarboro did not come true.
The recent storms exacerbated anxieties felt by some families considering whether returning to Princeville is worth the risk of disaster.
The local school board is set to make a decision on whether or not to rebuild Princeville Elementary later this month.
In the interview, Bell referenced these photographs of the flooded school taken by Superintendent John Farrelly from an Army National Guard boat in October.
