Winter weather school closures, delays, and updates

Editor’s Note: This article will be updated twice per day while inclement weather continues, once around 11 a.m. and again around 5 p.m. School district and community college closures are determined based on the latest information found on district and community college websites, as well as their Twitter and Facebook accounts when applicable. Gov. Stein declared a state of emergency as winter weather approaches North Carolina, which will likely include mixes of freezing rain, sleet, and snow.

Most North Carolina school districts and community colleges have announced delays, closures, or remote learning days. See below for updates as of Thursday morning.
