The Editor’s Notes
Please join us at the upcoming Jay Robinson Educational Leadership Gala.
The Public School Forum of North Carolina is honoring Tom Oxholm — who has long been a bridge between business leaders and education advocates — and EdNC at its upcoming gala on Thursday, May 1 at the Angus Barn Pavilion in Raleigh from 6-8:30 pm. Single tickets are available, and we would love to see you there.
Jay Robinson was my superintendent, and he remains bigger than life to me. He is the one who taught me to kneel down when talking to students, getting on their level and looking them in the eye.
Even with all of the challenges our local public schools are facing, students still show up everyday, they go to class, and they learn from the very best cohort of teachers and principals any state could have. Come, join us, and let’s celebrate the leadership of Mary Ann and her incredible team and our local public schools together.
Robinson would love it!
