Hailey Yancey is a sophomore at Voyager Academy High School and has attended Voyager since 4th grade. In her free time, she volunteers for organizations such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Ronald McDonald House of Durham, and at local elementary and middle schools. This year will be her 4th year volunteering and fundraising with LLS. In her first year of fundraising (2013), Hailey raised $1,000 making her a Bright Light. Since then, she has consistently raised more for the cause. In 2016, Hailey was honored with the Mayor’s and President’s Award for completing over 200 service hours during the 2015 school year.
